Polish citizens can arrange Azerbaijan’s visa from home, with no trip to the embassy in Warsaw. The Azerbaijan eVisa for Polish citizens is filled in online for one traveller or a group of up to ten, and every approved visa arrives by email as a secure link.

Polish passports and Azerbaijan’s visa regime
Only eight countries’ citizens may currently enter Azerbaijan without a visa, and Poland is not among them. Poland does appear on the eVisa list, so a Polish passport holder can get the visa online instead of applying at a consulate. Our Azerbaijan eVisa page covers the electronic visa in general, and the eligible countries list shows every nationality that can use it.
The eVisa follows your passport, not where you live
Living in Poland with a residence card does not change which visa route is open to you: the form asks for each traveller’s nationality and passport, and that alone decides eligibility. Neighbours such as Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Latvia are on the eVisa list too, so mixed groups from those countries can apply together. Ukraine and Belarus are not on the list, so a Ukrainian or Belarusian travel companion cannot be added to your application and should check the entry rules for their own passport with the embassy.
Hyphenated surnames
Polish surnames are sometimes joined with a hyphen, such as Nowak-Kowalska, and a husband and wife can carry different forms of one name, such as Kowalski and Kowalska. Each traveller’s surname is copied from that person’s own passport, hyphen included, and every given name the passport shows goes into the given names field. Before submission our team compares each name with the scan of the photo page.
What each traveller needs
A passport, not the identity card used for trips inside the EU, is the document the visa is issued for, and it must remain valid for at least 180 days after your arrival in Azerbaijan. For the Azerbaijan eVisa for Polish citizens you also upload a clear scan of the photo page and give the arrival date, the hotel or address where you will stay, an email address and a phone number in international format. Polish numbers are nine digits with no trunk zero, so a mobile becomes +48 and the full number. What you need to apply lists the file types the scan can be.
Validity, the 30-day stay and the 15-day rule
An eVisa remains valid for 90 days, and it covers a stay of up to 30 days in Azerbaijan. Stays longer than 15 days also require registration at your address, as described under migration rules; if you want to stay past the 30 days, duration of stay sets out the options.
Turnaround and cost of the Azerbaijan eVisa for Polish citizens
You pick standard or urgent once, and the choice covers everyone on the application. Standard is ready within 3 working days and is possible for arrivals at least 4 days after the application date; urgent is ready within 3 hours and can be used for a flight on the same day. The price is per person, USD 59 on standard and USD 130 on urgent, which means three travellers pay USD 177 on standard or USD 390 on urgent. The charge is made in Azerbaijani manat, AZN 100.30 or AZN 221.00 a traveller, with dollars as a guide, and the fee page describes the refundable part.
Azerbaijan’s embassy in Warsaw
Nothing about the Azerbaijan eVisa for Polish citizens involves the embassy. The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Warsaw, on Zwycięzców street, handles other visa categories and consular matters for Poland and publishes its information at warsaw.mfa.gov.az. Its address, phone and fax numbers and email address are listed under Poland on our Azerbaijan embassies page.
From payment to the printed eVisa
When your payment has gone through, our team reviews the whole application and gets back to you if a surname, a scan or a date has to be corrected; the application reaches the official portal only after that review. Azerbaijan’s authorities then decide on the visa. If it is approved, you receive an email with a secure link to the eVisa of every traveller, and each one should be printed and kept with the right passport. A fresh status link can be sent at any time from check your application status using your reference and email address. Start your application for the Azerbaijan eVisa for Polish citizens once your trip is booked, and look in the FAQ if something is still unclear.
