Whether you can apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa depends on the passport you hold. The Republic of Azerbaijan publishes the list of eligible nationalities, and the countries below are the ones currently on it. If your nationality is not listed, an eVisa is not the route for you and you would need to approach an Azerbaijani diplomatic mission instead.
Countries on the eligible list
Eight of these countries currently have a temporary visa-free arrangement instead, marked below and explained in the next section. For those nationalities an eVisa is not always required.

Temporary visa-free arrangements
Three groups of countries are currently covered by a temporary arrangement. In each case the terms are the same: entry without a visa up to three times within one year, for a stay of up to 30 days each time. From the fourth entry onwards a valid visa is required again. The periods differ:
- * Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia — from 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027.
- ** Japan and the Republic of Korea — from 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027.
- *** Bosnia and Herzegovina and Singapore — from 1 August 2026 to 1 August 2027.
These dates are the ones published for the arrangements themselves. We do not extend them beyond what has been announced, so if you are travelling near the end of a period it is worth confirming the position before you rely on it.
