Do Pakistani citizens need a visa?

Yes. Pakistan does not have one of the eight temporary visa-free arrangements that Azerbaijan currently operates, so Pakistani passport holders need a visa for their trip. Pakistan is on the eVisa list, which means the visa can be requested online without an appointment.

Who is eligible

The deciding factor is the passport each traveller holds. Pakistani passport holders are eligible wherever they apply from. A traveller who lives in Pakistan but holds another nationality should check that nationality on the eligible countries list. An overview of the eVisa is on the Azerbaijan eVisa page.

Applying for a family or group

One application can cover up to 10 travellers, so a family or a small group travelling together can apply in a single go. Every traveller is added separately with their own passport details and their own scan. Each traveller also receives their own result, so people on the same application can end up with different outcomes.

Preparing the passport scan

Each scan must show the whole data page of the passport — the page with the photograph, name, date of birth, passport number and expiry date. It can be a JPEG, PNG or PDF of up to 8 MB; a PDF must be a plain document, as PDFs with active content are rejected. Passports must be valid for at least 180 days — six months. Full details are on what you need to apply.

Validity and stay

The eVisa is valid for 90 days and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Those two numbers are separate: one is how long the visa remains valid, the other how long you may stay. Duration of stay covers this in more depth, and anyone staying beyond 15 days must be registered at their place of stay under the migration rules.

Azerbaijan eVisa for Pakistani citizens: processing time and cost

There are two processing speeds: standard takes 3 working days and urgent takes 3 hours. With standard processing, the arrival date has to be at least 4 days after the day you apply; urgent processing accepts an arrival as soon as the same day.

Through this service the Azerbaijan eVisa for Pakistani citizens costs USD 59 per traveller for standard processing or USD 130 per traveller for urgent processing. A family of four on standard processing therefore pays 4 × USD 59 = USD 236. The total is shown before you pay, and the charge is made in Azerbaijani manat (AZN), with the dollar figures given for information. See the fee page for refunds.
