An Azerbaijan eVisa is an electronic entry visa you apply for online and print before you travel. There is no embassy appointment and no sticker in your passport.
What the Azerbaijan eVisa is
It is a single electronic document tied to the passport you apply with. You complete an application, it is reviewed by the Azerbaijani authorities, and if it is approved you receive a document to print and carry. It is valid for 90 days and permits a stay of up to 30 days — the validity period and the length of stay are not the same thing. It is not attached to the passport itself, so you present the two together at the border.
Who needs a visa
That depends on the passport you hold. Some nationalities can use the electronic route, some currently have a temporary visa-free arrangement instead, and others have to approach an Azerbaijani diplomatic mission. The published list settles it rather than guesswork.

What you need
A passport with enough validity left, a clear scan of its data page, your travel dates, where you are staying, and an email address you actually check. The official rule is that your document stays valid for at least 180 days — six months. What you need to apply sets out the detail, including what makes a passport scan acceptable.
What it costs
Through this service an application is USD 59 for standard processing or USD 130 for urgent. Each is a single total covering one application, and one application can cover more than one traveller. How an application works
You complete one form, add each traveller and upload a passport scan for every one of them, then review everything on a single page and pay. We check what you have sent before it is submitted and come back to you if something is missing. The official system expects an application at least three working days before travel, so leave room rather than applying the night before.
