Belgians apply for Azerbaijan’s visa online and receive it by email, without visiting an embassy. The Azerbaijan eVisa for Belgian citizens is requested per traveller on one shared application, which can hold as many as ten people.

A visa before departure
Belgium’s Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs advises that Belgians, like other EU citizens, must hold a visa before they are admitted to Azerbaijan, and that it can be requested electronically; see its practical information for Azerbaijan. Belgium is one of the nationalities on our eligible countries list, and the Azerbaijan eVisa page explains the electronic visa itself.
Luxembourg partners and friends
Azerbaijan’s embassy in Brussels is also accredited to Luxembourg, and Luxembourg citizens can use the eVisa too. On a shared application each person picks their own nationality, so a Belgian and a Luxembourger travelling together simply choose Belgium and Luxembourg respectively.
Ten travellers on one application
Ten is the most the form accepts, which suits a family reunion or a small company trip. Each person is entered with their own surname and given names exactly as printed, nationality, occupation, home address, passport number and expiry date, plus a scan of the photo page as a JPG, PNG or PDF no larger than 8 MB. The arrival date, accommodation and purpose of the trip are given once for the group, with one email address and one phone number; a Belgian mobile beginning 04 becomes +32 4 followed by the remaining digits. Every passport should be valid for at least 180 days after the arrival date.
Two speeds for the Azerbaijan eVisa for Belgian citizens
The Azerbaijan eVisa for Belgian citizens is charged per person: USD 59 for standard processing, finished within 3 working days, and USD 130 for urgent processing, finished within 3 hours. A full group of ten pays USD 590 or USD 1,300. The amount is collected in Azerbaijani manat, AZN 100.30 or AZN 221.00 per traveller. With standard processing the arrival has to be at least 4 days after the application, while urgent also covers arrivals on the day you apply. Which part of the fee can be refunded is explained on the fee page.
Driving in Azerbaijan on a Belgian licence
The same Belgian advice notes that a Belgian driving licence in the card format is valid in Azerbaijan for short stays of up to 30 days, and that a longer stay requires a local licence. That matches the eVisa itself, which is valid for 90 days and allows a stay of up to 30 days. Visitors staying more than 15 days must also be registered at their address, as set out on migration rules, and longer visits are covered on duration of stay.
The embassy on Avenue de Tervueren
Nothing in the Azerbaijan eVisa for Belgian citizens goes through the embassy. Azerbaijan’s embassy to Belgium and Luxembourg, which is also its mission to the European Union, is at 282-284 Avenue de Tervueren in Brussels according to its website, brussels.mfa.gov.az, where consular visits are by appointment. Azerbaijan’s mission to NATO is a separate office at NATO headquarters. Phone numbers and email addresses for both offices are listed under Belgium on our Azerbaijan embassies page.
After payment
Our team reviews the group’s details once the payment is confirmed and gets in touch if a name, scan or date has to be corrected; only then is the application sent to the official portal, where Azerbaijan’s authorities decide. If it is approved, an email gives you a secure link to each traveller’s eVisa, to be printed and carried with the right passport. A replacement link is available through check your application status. When your group’s dates are confirmed, begin the Azerbaijan eVisa for Belgian citizens on the application form, or read the FAQ first.
